FAQs

How often should a PEG be changed?

This varies by tube type and material, usually from a few months to a year. As this is a specialised clinical procedure, replacement must be performed by an experienced RN/SN.

How can I know if the stoma site is infected?

Monitor the skin around the stoma for persistent redness, swelling, increased warmth, localised pain, or foul-smelling discharge. If you notice any of these symptoms, contact us or your doctor immediately.

What if the PEG tube is blocked?

Please try flushing the tube gently with warm water using a syringe. Avoid excessive force. If the blockage persists, please contact us immediately to arrange a professional home visit.
