FAQs

What is the difference between 'Basic' and 'Specialist' wound care?

Basic care is for simple, superficial, and uninfected wounds. Specialist care is managed by our Specialist Nurses for complex, deep, infected, or chronic wounds, that may require advanced clinical techniques such as NPWT.

Do I need to prepare my own wound dressings?

No. Our nurses arrive fully equipped with basic dressing supplies. If your wound requires highly specialised dressings, our nurse will advise you after the assessment and can assist in purchasing them on your behalf.

How do I know if my wound has become infected?

Common signs of infection include abnormal redness, swelling, heat, pain, or unusual discharge (e.g., yellow or green) accompanied by a foul odour. If you notice any of these symptoms, please contact us or your doctor immediately.
