FAQs

Does a Port-A (implantable port) need regular care?

Yes. Even when not in use, a Port-A must be flushed and locked by a nurse every 4 to 6 weeks to maintain function.

What if I see redness, swelling, or pain around the site?

Please contact us or your doctor immediately, as these could be early signs of an infection and need to be addressed promptly.

How should I prepare for a nurse's home visit?

Please simply ensure a well-lit area and a clean, flat surface (like a dining table) for our sterile supplies. Our nurses will bring all necessary equipment and dressings.
