Service Overview

Enrolled Nurses (EN) are vital nursing professionals. They work under the direct supervision of our Registered Nurses and Nurse Managers, providing high-quality, standardized care. Our ENs are the frontline workforce for daily and continuous "Homespital" services, ensuring all routine nursing is executed with precision and care.

Homespital: YDCare Continuous Care Model

For cases requiring intensive medical attention or continuous monitoring, we provide 12- or 24-hour "Continuous Care," replicating a hospital environment at home.

Professional Care Teams

Your Nurse Manager will curate a professional team led by a Specialist Nurse (SN) or Registered Nurse (RN), supported by Enrolled Nurses (EN) or Health Workers (HW) for seamless and tiered support.

The Role of the Enrolled Nurse (EN)

As a key team member, the EN:

  • Execute fundamental nursing tasks with precision and consistency.
  • Conduct routine observations (vitals, blood sugar, SpO2).
  • Support complex care (tube feeding, dressing) under RN guidance.
  • Serve as the on-site eyes and ears, reporting immediately to the RN and Nurse Manager.

Seamless Monitoring

ENs maintain constant client contact and execute clinical plans designed by the RNs, ensuring a 24/7 professional support system.

FAQs

What is the difference between an Enrolled Nurse (EN) and a Health Worker (HW)?

The main difference is that an EN is a professional nurse registered with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. They can perform various clinical procedures such as medication administration, injections, and wound care. A Health Worker, on the other hand, primarily provides personal care and basic health monitoring, and cannot perform invasive medical procedures.

If I hire an Enrolled Nurse, who will be responsible for developing the care plan?

All care plans will be developed by your dedicated Nurse Manager or a Registered Nurse within the team. The role of the EN is to execute the plan accurately and safely under this professional guidance.

What happens if the patient's condition changes?

The EN will immediately report to your dedicated Nurse Manager or the on-duty Registered Nurse. The team will make immediate professional judgments and instructions, such as recommending adjustments to the care plan or having a more senior nurse take over. This is the core value of our team-based follow-up service.
